Tornadoes Batter Northern Texas And Eastern Colorado.



According to reports Tornadoes hit Northern Texas and Eastern Colorado NWS officials upgraded the risk for tornadoes to "moderate" in parts of north central Texas ranging roughly from Dallas west toward Abilene early on Saturday afternoon.

One person is dead and another is critically injured after multiple tornadoes touched down in parts of northern Texas and eastern Colorado on Saturday afternoon, according to reports.
A twister west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Eastland County caused the death and serious injury, along with damaged homes, flooded roads and downed power lines in Cisco, town and county fire chiefs told CNN.

Two tornadoes struck in Colorado about 4:30 p.m. local time near the towns of Eads and Karval, moving at 35 mph and 25 mph respectively, the outlet reported.

The National Weather Service tracked at least 19 different preliminary reports of twisters in three states, including Oklahoma, on Saturday, According to the Agency's Website.
NWS officials upgraded the risk for tornadoes to "moderate" in parts of north central Texas ranging roughly from Dallas west toward Abilene early on Saturday afternoon, The Agency's Storm Prediction Center announced on Facebook.


The agency had placed parts of Texas and Oklahoma and sections of Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska under separate tornado watches until 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. eastern time, respectively, earlier on Saturday, CNN reported.

Severe thunderstorms, including potential additional tornadoes and baseball-size hail, were expected to continue hammering areas of the southern plains for the rest of Saturday night and into Sunday morning, NWS officials said.
